Anglian Larder was proud to support and take part in an exciting culinary competition held at Suffolk New College, bringing together the next generation of hospitality talent for a high-pressure, industry-style cooking challenge.
The competition featured 9 teams, each made up of two chefs, who were tasked with creating innovative dishes from a mystery selection of ingredients within a set time limit. The event was designed to test creativity, teamwork, adaptability, and technical skill — all essential qualities within the professional kitchen environment.

The day began with an inspiring seafood demonstration from M&J Seafood, giving students valuable insight into working with quality produce and industry techniques before the competition got underway.
Throughout the day, students showcased incredible passion, determination, and professionalism, producing dishes that impressed both tutors and industry professionals alike. Judging the competition were representatives from Sizewell C and WSH Group, alongside members of the Anglian Larder team. We greatly appreciated the time and support they gave to help inspire and encourage the students.

A huge congratulations goes to all competitors for their hard work and creativity, as well as to the winning teams who demonstrated exceptional skill under pressure.
Events like this highlight the importance of collaboration between education and industry, helping students gain real-world experience while building confidence for their future careers in hospitality.
At Anglian Larder, we are passionate about supporting young talent, championing local produce, and helping develop the future of the hospitality industry.
